My wife and I are extremely satisfied with our condo balcony solar shade install from NW Natural Lighting. We seriously considered two contractors. We are very happy that we went with NW Natural Lighting. It is a local, family-owned company and their shade manufacturer is also in Washington State and family-owned. We paid a bit more but it was absolutely worth it. The entire team that interfaced with us during every phase of the project - sales, quotation, question responses, installation and post-installation support - is outstanding, as is the product quality!Posted on Trustindex

Exceptional service from start to finish Liz ensured smooth communication, Jack delivered an outstanding sales presentation, and Troy and Angel performed a flawless installation. Eric's final design and inspection were the perfect finishing touches. The entire team made the process seamless and exceeded our expectations. We're thrilled with our new shades, which will enhance our outdoor living space all year round!Posted on Google

Guy Pennington3 September 2026Hands down one of the best companies I’ve worked with. I’ve partnered with NWNL on both professional and personal projects. The entire team is amazing. From the owner down to the install techs, and everyone between - all are extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to customer service. The wide range of services and products make a turn-key contribution to a successful product. Highly recommend these folks! To all of you at NWNL - I sincerely appreciate you!Posted on Google
Greg Duda2 September 2026It was easy working with NW Natural Lighting. They were efficient and timely. On install day, Jordan and Finney arrived and quickly got started. They were finished in a couple of hours with everything done well, cleaned up, explained use and maintenance to us. Even dealt with our concern about water intrusion and appropriate drainage solution.Posted on Google
Randy Hardy21 August 2026Nate and Jordan were extraordinary and installed six Solatubes with accessories and a solar-powered attic fan in our home yesterday and the difference is stunning. If you want to brighten up an older home, contact NW Natural Lighting and see what they can do to brighten your day! You will be amazed at the difference natural sunlight can make.+1Posted on Google
Andrew Diebag19 August 2026The team here has been absolutely phenomenal - from initial quoting (shoutout Jack), to coordination (Liz and the program management leads), to the guys putting in the windows, Beehaven continually went above and beyond to make sure what we had was high quality work. I’m especially appreciative to our installers Simon and Daniel - they worked through some brutal heat, but I never felt like they were compromising the quality of work. If you are looking for new skylights, I highly recommend this team - the price is fair for the quality you get!+3Posted on Google

Shellie Nelson Gansz31 July 2026NW Natural Lighting - Beehaven Home I do want to share that we had an incredible experience with NW Natural Lighting. From the in-home sales process to installation, we were fully informed and their product is first class! We discussed pros and benefits of the different options so we could make informed decisions. After installing, they took the time and patience with us to show us how to navigate the app where we can operate the shades from our phone! Installation took about three days for six windows. Their installers - Phinney and Daniel were professional and did a first class job. We love the look of these exterior shades and the functionality! Never in my life did I think I’d have shades that go up and down at the push of a button. lol I can’t recommend this company highly enough! #nwnaturallighthome #beehavenhome #exteriorshades #motorizedshades #construction+0Posted on Yelp
N W.16 July 2026I had a retractable awning installed by NW Natural Lighting. Everything went incredibly well. While waiting for my awning to be ready, I needed to have an electrician come and install an outdoor outlet in preparation. The day of install, two nice guys were here from 8:30am to 3-ish and the job is complete. The awning is exactly what I wanted aesthetics wise, and is super simple to operate. I got a full cassette with a wind sensor. Now I look forward to using my deck much more. I chose NW Natural Lighting based upon their knowledge, their communication, a nicely detailed estimate, no hard sell or upsell to something unnecessary, and everyone I had contact with at the company was helpful, nice and courteous. The price was very reasonable for a good product.Posted on Trustindex

Mixed experience with installation The installer, Jonathan, was professional and did his best despite the situation. Unfortunately, the job ended up being canceled, which was disappointing. While the installation process started on a positive note, it’s a shame things couldn’t be completed as planned.Posted on Yelp

Lindsey R.29 April 2026We had two retractable screen doors installed by NW Natural Lighting yesterday, and it was about the easiest process I could have imagined! The initiation was seamless as I emailed via the website and heard back the next day. Scheduling was both easy and flexible. The installation though was the best part. Jonathan and Angel came out right on time with everything they needed to get the job done. I hardly knew they were there the whole time, but magically both doors were installed in what seemed like no time at all. They're beautiful and functional and just what we were looking for. Absolutely worth the price as there was negative hassle involved on my part. I highly recommend :)Posted on Yelp
John H.20 April 2026NW Natural Lighting did an exceptional job designing, measuring and installing 4 motorized window shades. From my first call to their office, I knew this was a special company. They took the time to thoroughly explain all the different varieties available, the pluses and minuses of each, and what would work best for my needs. I found everyone to be courteous, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Evan and Eric were especially helpful, precisely measuring and designing the system. The installers, Jordan and Simon, did a first class job. They professionally mounted and fine tuned each shade, so they operated perfectly. Rarely do you find a company with such dedicated, caring people, that take pride in their work. I look forward to working with them again on other projects, they do great work. Thank you!Posted on Trustindex
Mary Bohmke11 April 2026Exterior Shades Installation We have west facing family room windows and with the summer heat climbing, last summer we had exterior window shades installed. They brough the temperature down considerable in our home. This month (April 2026) we had them installed for our bedroom windows. We are looking forward to cooler rooms this summer. The response with scheduling was prompt, and let us know if the electricians or installers were on time. A "shout out" to Eric who managed both projects (last year and this year). Eric's interest in ensuring the installation was done to perfection combined with his friendliness made for an overall great experience.Posted on YelpCristal J.26 March 2026The crew at NW Natural Lighting is top notch. We had 6 solatubes installed in December 2025 and are extremely pleased. At the beginning of this month (March 2026). I noticed what appeared to be dead bugs in a couple of the tubes. I called late in the afternoon and received the VM. I left a message and the next morning I had text letting me know they would have someone in our area the next week to come check things out. Due to the sharp angles on our roof line where a couple tubes were installed, there were a couple spots that were not sealed up completely. They were fixed on the spot and all of the other tubes were inspected to ensure no more bugs would enter. They were very prompt, professional and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them.Posted on YelpShawn H.13 January 2026Expanded room allows us to use year round. Company was 5 star! Screens are quality with good day lighting and privacy at night. It went very well. estimator was very thorough explaining everything about the system, its part and options, and the procedure. Installation was very quick and efficient. He did a great job keeping the existing room clean and free from debris. We are very pleased with the photovoltaic night light. Wasn't sure if we would like it but we do. The only part we are disappointed with is WHY DIDN'T WE DO THIS SOONER. We plan to add more lights in other areas in the future. I'm seriously giggling with delight at my new tubes.Posted on Angie's ListDouglas B.31 October 2016very punctual, outstanding service and good price-value.Posted on Angie's ListRebecca S.21 June 2016After contacting NW Natural Lighting, Dawn came to our house (on a weekend, which was nice) to do a consultation, explaining how solartubes work, helping us understand where and how they could have the most impact, and providing recommendations for where to install them and how many to install. Ours is a bit of an unusual case because we were installing the solartubes in bedrooms, but they explained that we could put dimmers in to close them at night. The installation had to be booked a month or two out because they're booked pretty far out, but the installers showed up on time and did a great job on the installation. I think our building is a little tricky to work with because the roof is pretty steep and the ceiling is lathe and plaster, but they got the solartubes in with only one extra hole in the ceiling (we pretty much end up with an extra hole in the wall or ceiling anytime anyone does work on our place). The additional light is great, and the fixtures blend in pretty well with the ceilings.Posted on Angie's List
Janice O.20 February 2016We saw them at the Tacoma Home Show and signed up for a free estimate on their special which was 2 solatubes installed for $1,000. Two very professional young men came and gave us the estimate and we said yes. They then installed the solatubes immediately. They were neat and kept the dirt to a minimin and cleaned up afterward. They came at 9 AM and were completely done by 11:30. Now we just wonder why we didn't do it sooner. We also have to remind ourselves that no the lights are not on.Posted on Angie's List

We can see the light!!! We live in a 3-story townhouse and had Solatubes installed upstairs in our hallway and bathroom. Our experience working with NW Natural Lighting was a thoroughly fantastic experience.

Last week we installed a 14” in our TV room (no glare). I can read or knit w/o the light on! We put a 10” in the kitchen… could have used a 14”… but it made a huge difference. No lights need to be on in the daytime; even on cloudy days! We started with a hallway what a difference!

Solatube is excellent. I installed 7 solatube in my dark house and its absolutely lit up now. This was one of the best investments I made. NW Natural Lighting is the only authorized dealer for Solatube brand. I have installed all kinds of Solatube, including the one with dimmer, with light, with exhaust fan and of course the regular one. These guys are awesome.

Ben, Your crew was here bright and early on Tuesday and did a wonderful job. Again, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for your patience and assistance throughout this ordeal. When I am completely finished I will send you some photos or if you would like to have an excuse to get out of the office, we’ll have lunch on the deck. Thanks

We had ten inch ones installed in the kitchen and the dining room with normal surround caps Classic Fusion; one 14″ in the Great Room with the Tier Drop and one in the front hallway. We needed extensions due to the high roof. Definitely brings natural light into these darker areas. On bright days, we have to keep looking to make sure we didn’t leave a light on, kind of amusing! We are very happy with the Solatubes and the installation.

Beautifully. Smart, fast installation, and the results are awesome.

We got two 10″ solatubes installed in our dining room to add a bit of extra natural light to the space. They look great! It was really dark in this room before but now even on a cloudy day there is so much extra light and it is a nice soft light too. They also look like other recessed lights so blend well with our room. Really happy with the results and the install was a breeze!

My wife and I have lived in our Squak Mt. home for 10+ years and while we love the area, the older development in which we reside is heavily wooded. To put it bluntly, our home often feels like a cave!!! Since having 4 Solatubes installed it’s as if a new life has been breathed into the 40 year old bones of our home. We opted to add light kits to 3/4 tubes and it’s UNREAL what a 40w LED bulb gives off in the way of extra light once the sun goes down. Michael, Briell, Dawn and Chris (and the rest of the team) were all incredibly polite, professional and easy to work with. NW Natural Lighting is not just selling good product, but a great experience as well!
Hands down the improvement of the year – worth every single Penny!!”

I set up an appt. at a Home Show to have a solar tube tech come out to my house to explain the process of installation, sizes available, best location, prices, etc. The tech was on time, very knowledgeable and helpful to determine my lighting needs- After deciding I wanted 2 solar tubes installed, the tech installed them beautifully! In no time, my walk-in closet and bathroom were SO much brighter and cheerful! I absolutely LOVE them and would highly recommend them to anyone who would like to brighten any room naturally. Customer service was awesome too!

Wow! What a difference in our hall bathroom – even on a cloudy day! Our Solatube was installed so quickly and quietly. When I first saw it “in action” the daylight was spilling into our hallway – just as much, if not more than the daylight from a south facing bedroom. It’s so nice not having to turn the light on. The really interesting thing is even though the Solatube is placed on the north side of the roof, the bathroom looks “sunny”. It must be the special roof feature capturing the light because our 2′ x 4′ traditional box skylight further down the roof was less light on that same day.
Dawn M.
Awesome light, light & more light. People think we have a light on especially GREAT when full moon – no night light needed LOVE this product
Dale & April
We have had our solatubes for many years. We have them in both bathrooms with the exhaust fan being remote of the ceiling is so quiet that i had to put in timers or they would be left on. We have had guest ask how to turn the lights off when the exit the room. Also a tip is to use a low wattage bulb in the fixture so the late night run wont blind you!! We also have one in the main hall way. As for long term are first one was installed in the 1990’s And was no problem for the roofer to replace are roof in 2009.

Our L shaped hallway was always dark, and the bath without a window. Both are daylight sun up to sundown love ours

I LOVE MY SOLATUBE!!!! There’s so much light in my kitchen now, it’s almost blinding compared to before!! I would definitely love to have more, but at a later date. I have told many friends, and they may be calling you too! Thanks!!!

Ryan did a great job in this morning to install two Solatubes. The result was very nice! Natural light feels much better than florescent light. I want to thank Dawn and Ryan for bringing me more and better light.

We are enjoying our daylight that we have now in our kitchen. I always think I need to shut the light off. Lol. Your installer did a great job. We are glad we purchased the Solatube 14”. Glad we went with 14″ instead of the 10"

Couldn't be more pleased with my solar tube! Took my cave-like bathroom to the light!

Our 7 new Solatubes installed by Northwest Natural Lighting in mid 2023 are great; great light, great quality, great value, and a great installation by Nick! All have solar night lights, which we just reset from low to high, and 5 have light kits. They brighten our home so much, mostly without any power, including at night to better assure we don't trip on a cat. We had a previous home here in the Puget Sound with 12, which we loved, but this smaller home only needs 7.

LOVE it! At times I look, who left the lights on? It’s the Solatube. Adds amazing brightness to a dark hallway.

NNL Railing was detailed and professional throughout out the “seamless process” which included a fantastic referral for some deck repair work that needed to be done prior to the installation of our beautiful new deck railing. All of our questions or concerns during the process were all handled in a timely manner. My wife and I are very particular about how our home looks and functions which is why we chose NNL Railing. As a 38 year Professional Realtor I can say with confidence that our new deck railing added to the current value and future marketability of our home. Referring them to friends, family, and my valued clients will be an easy choice to make in the future.

Just want to say what a great experience it has been working with you. The railing is perfect thanks to your suggestions. The estimate was well detailed, the product is so high quality, and the installation was smooth and fast. Thank you so much for all of your help and your lovely professionalism. Now I’m hunting for more places I can have railings! Well, there aren’t many opportunities in my little place, but I will happily refer anyone I know to you and will call on you again if I do ever need more railings. Stay safe, stay well, and have peace.

Just purchased Solatube’s Whole House Fan through NW Natural Lighting…and we are BIG FANS! We have a (whole house) air conditioner, but our home sits in full sun all day and our upstairs just doesn’t get cool enough for comfort during the summer months. Since we live in the Seattle area, my husband was skeptical that a whole house fan would be able to pay for itself with energy savings, but he is now convinced because we barely need to use our air conditioner at all anymore! We just open a few windows in the early morning and in the evening, and run the whole house fan for about 30 minutes. It sucks cool air in and blows the hot air out, quickly and quietly. An added bonus is that it also can be used to eliminate odors such as new paint or cooking smells from our home! The NW Natural Lighting installer, did a great job of explaining the installation process and how to run the fan. He was professional, polite, and left the installation area clean. We are really enjoying being able to instantaneously bring fresh air into our home as well as appreciate the savings on our electrical bill! The Solatube Whole House is a “cool” product – we recommend it highly!

We installed a solatube in our very dark staircase/small landing area. It went from being a dark cave to being bright and cheery. I’m so so glad we got on board and had this thing installed. They’re much cheaper and far less prone to leaks and issues than traditional sky lights.
