ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Fitter/Welder at Beehaven, you’ll work on prefabricated products for commercial and residential buildings across the Greater Seattle area. We’re looking for someone with 1-2 years of experience in metal fitting and welding, who is ready to take their skills to the next level while working with a collaborative team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fitting (80%) and Welding (20%) architectural metal systems (stainless steel and aluminum).
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments, handle tool inventory, and ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and collaborate with teams for seamless operations.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed and make continuous improvements to workflow.
- Produce quality, cosmetic structural welds on tight deadlines.
- Ability to grind and finish ('contour') without gouging base materials.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 1-2 years of aluminum welding & metal fitting experience (required)
- 1-2 years blueprint reading skills and an understanding of safety protocols (required)
- Valid driver license without restrictions (required)
- Forklift experience and comfort with warehouse equipment (required)
- WABO Certification (required)
- Ability to problem solve and work autonomously in shop and on jobsites
- Strong understanding of the use of hand tools, grinders and cutting wheels
- Familiarity with machinery used for metal fabrication, ie; saws, ironworker, welding machinery, etc.A passion for your craft and a desire to grow your career with us!
