In November every year, your friends at NW Natural Lighting transform into Buddy's Holiday Lighting, installing Christmas lights for homes all over the Greater Seattle Area. We however don't simply hang holiday lights - ours is a turn-key service where we take care of your holiday lighting process from start-to-finish.
This concept is a new one to the PNW, so we are here to answer some Frequently Asked Questions about our holiday lights service so you can know how it works and what to expect!

1Do I have to be home for the holiday light installation?
No, we can do it all on our own! We will communicate beforehand to ensure we have access to your property and electrical. When you get home, your holiday lights will be beautifully installed!
2Do I own the lights?
No, but we think this is the best part of the service. We take back the lights at the end of every season, and are responsible for their maintenance and storage. You can also change out your light colors and design every year!
3Is there a repeat-customer perk?
Yes! Returning customers get 25% off their second year, and every continuing year after that you use our Christmas lighting service.
4Can I customize the light color?
Yes! We have many colors available. Some customers opt for modern white Christmas lights, where others prefer red and green, or even multi-color. You can even change out your light color mid-season, so you can start with one color of lights for Halloween and switch for Christmas!
5Can you do Christmas lights inside my home?
No, our holiday lighting service is for the exterior of your home only.
6Can I get lights on other parts of my property?
Yes! If electrical can reach, we can light it. Some of our customers have chosen to illuminate trees, fences, sheds and more with Christmas lights on their property. We do need advance notice prior to installation on what you would like lit so we can bring the appropriate amount of materials.
7Do you offer any exterior decor in addition to the holiday lights?
We do have Christmas wreath (lit or unlit) options of different sizes that are available as well.
8Are you able to put the holiday lights on a timer?
Yes, we do have timers available. Let us know you would like one and what times it should be set for, and we can set it up at your installation appointment.
9How are the lights attached to my home?
We use discreet, high-quality clips that are made specifically for installing holiday lights on homes. We do not use nails or anything that permanently affixes to your house.
10Are the lights LED's?
Yes, we use modern commercial-grade LED's bulbs that are energy efficient and deliver amazing color possibilities.
11What are the bulbs made of?
These are not your average home store bulbs. Our holiday lights are high-quality and heavy-duty glass bulbs that are attractive and meant to stand up to the elements.
12What happens if one of my lights goes out?
Just call us! We will come replace the bulb for you, so you can continue enjoying your beautiful holiday lights this season.
13Do I see any of the electrical cords?
All lights are installed by experienced professionals, who know how to keep the cords discrete while maximizing light visibility. Cords on the ground running to trees or other structures will be buried.
14How long does the installation take?
Just a few hours! You can leave for work in the morning and arrive to perfectly installed holiday lights without having to lift a finger.
15Are your holiday lights services for residential applications only, or can you install at businesses too?
We offer both residential and commercial installations for holiday lights! Some customers opt in to the service for both their home and business, giving them peace of mind that their lights will be taken care of without worry each holiday season.
16Am I required to use your holiday lighting service for a certain number of years?
When you opt in, it is for one year of service at a time only (installation and takedown). Remember, if you opt-in the following year, you get a 25% discount! However, if you move or decide to skip a year, there is no obligation to continue.
17What areas do you install holiday lights in?
Our holiday lighting services are based in the Pacific Northwest. We service Edmonds, Lynnwood, Bothell, Mill Creek, Woodinville, Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, and beyond.
